Summer 2017 HI-FI[VE] Mix | DJ Shawn Frady

One of things we pride ourselves on at B-Boy Productions is having some of the most talented music mixers (aka DJs) in the area bar none. Not only is programming important but the way songs are segued in and out are just as vital. From time to time, our DJs will put together a mix to showcase their skills. This Summer 2017 HI-FI(VE) Mix by DJ Shawn Frady is our latest entry. While this mix doesn’t represent what he’d play at a specific event, what you will get from it, beyond a fantastic jam packed 30 minute musical journey of a wide range of genres, is the thought put behind the track selection. Every song has a purpose with where it is placed and how it is layered in and out. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself dancing to it wherever you’re listening. This is a live mix – meaning that this wasn’t constructed in a studio. Shawn was behind the decks and mixing this live. He then added some voice drops in post production. This is important because anybody can sit behind a computer desk and string a few songs together. At an event, you don’t have that luxury. The DJ has to be able to mix live.

A Spring Rosemary Beach Wedding Venue: Town Hall

Although technically still Winter, we’re going to consider this past weekend a Spring Rosemary Beach wedding. The weather was absolutely perfect and no sign of humidity (stay in hibernation, my friend). Amey and Alexndra gathered 100 or so of their closest family and friends to celebrate with them. Being one of the premier locations for weddings, it’s no surprise that this is a popular wedding venue along 30A. The Town Hall has much to offer. This gorgeous venue is the only spot you’ll need for ceremony and reception, with vendors that move like clockwork transforming the hall from ceremony to reception in under an hour while guests enjoy cocktails on the lawn.

DJ Shawn Frady had this group dancing non-stop. Songs of the night were “Formation” by Beyonce and “Antidote” by Travis Scott. Yup, lots of current hip hop and dance tracks on the playlist for this couple!

Giving Back Initiative | Fun at Shelter House’s Brunch and Bowl

As part of B-Boy Productions’ #bboygivesback initiative, we are partnering with Shelter House, a domestic and sexual violence center, for many events in 2017. Our first Giving Back Initiative event of the year with them was their inaugural “Brunch and Bowl” event held this past January. This particular event raised more than $6,000. DJ Shawn Frady spun music for this event as those who attended enjoyed a fabulous brunch, unlimited bowling, a silent auction and of course, amazing music! It was held at Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl and Grill located at the Destin Commons in Destin, FL.

The bowling was a fun-filled competition featuring some of law enforcement’s finest from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office and the OCSO Sheriff’s office as well as Century 21 Blue Marlin, ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals, Paul Hughes Family Foundation, Wine and Wenches, Vieno Investments Agency (VI-A), Wesley McGrail & Wesley and RLI.

DJ for the event and General Manager of B-Boy Florida’s Division, Shawn Frady, commented, “A hearty brunch, bowling, music and raising money for a fantastic non-profit organization. I’d say that’s a great way to spend a Saturday morning.”
