A Spring Rosemary Beach Wedding Venue: Town Hall

Although technically still Winter, we’re going to consider this past weekend a Spring Rosemary Beach wedding. The weather was absolutely perfect and no sign of humidity (stay in hibernation, my friend). Amey and Alexndra gathered 100 or so of their closest family and friends to celebrate with them. Being one of the premier locations for weddings, it’s no surprise that this is a popular wedding venue along 30A. The Town Hall has much to offer. This gorgeous venue is the only spot you’ll need for ceremony and reception, with vendors that move like clockwork transforming the hall from ceremony to reception in under an hour while guests enjoy cocktails on the lawn.

Eden Gardens Wedding | Keith and Kimberly

What’s not to love about an Eden Gardens Wedding?

If you’re looking for a place in the Florida panhandle that is magical, an Eden Gardens wedding is as close as you’re going to get to it. There are a big couple “ifs”…

  • If it’s not in the summer where there is no air to let the humidity out
  • If it’s not in the winter where you and your guests freeze to death
  • if it’s not raining (which happens 90% of the time in Florida) and you’re walking through a swamp

While the weather forecast changed by the day for Keith and Kimberly (initial reports earlier in the week showed a complete downpour), by the time the wedding day hit, it was perfect. Towards the evening, the temperature dipped slightly but not enough to cause any issues. Wedding attendance for a destination wedding in the panhandle typically averages about 100-125 people. For this one, we had upwards of 180. The wedding venue, however, has plenty of acreage to fit just about any guest count.

All about the details

Kimberly contacted us with less than 2 months before her wedding day. With us (B-Boy Productions) and two of our three sister companies, B-Boy Rentals and Event Design (coordination) and B-Boy Photo Booths, we jumped right into it and helped make this wedding come to life. Kimberly is very much like myself (Brian) in being OCD and into the details. We immediately clicked and worked extremely close between our two insane travel schedules (Kimberly lives in Alaska and commutes weekly all over the country and myself, well, if you know me, then you know that airports are my second home as I perform events across the country). For this event, I put on my coordinator hat (which I love to do) and we made some magic happen.

Sandestin Beach Club Wedding | Reagan & Robin

There’s a little gem on the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort called the Sandestin Beach Club, and A Sandestin Beach Club Wedding is one of the best ways to tie the knot on the Emerald Coast. It’s a members only club, however, in the Fall/Winter, it can be used for weddings and private events. This is now one of our favorite spots. It has an intimate feel despite the massive property size. For Reagan and Robin’s wedding this past weekend, they had a guest count of about 100 people. The ceremony took place on the beach and the cocktail hour and reception was held on the pool deck. Like clockwork, the weather turned from Summer to Fall the day prior to their wedding so the humidity was dialed back considerably from September’s heatwave.

Venue: The Beach Club, Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort (of course)

Ceremony Music & Reception DJ/MC: Josh B, B-Boy Productions
Make-Up: Robin Klag Make-Up Artist
Hair: Yvonne
Photography: Keegan & Robby with Admoni Photography
Cake: Holy Cakes

For this venue, it’s ideal to have two entertainers. Brian (himself a DJ) assisted Josh, allowing him to get out in the crowd for announcements and make the toasts flow a little easier instead of having to run back to the booth to add music. Once the dancing kicked off, the crowd was ready to party! Josh had them dancing to just about everything he played.

Reception Formality Music

  • Grand Entrance (Bridal Party): “I’ve Got This Feeling” (Instrumental) by Justin Timberlake
  • Grand Entrance (Bride & Groom): “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder

  • Grand Exit: “On My Way” by Rusted Root

Fonville Press: Sure to Impress for an Alys Beach Wedding

If you are looking for an elegant spot on 30A to have your reception, consider this little gem, Fonville Press! Located in Alys Beach, this venue has a lot to offer including super easy access and a unique layout that makes tailoring to taste, a fun task. This particular venue is ideal for an Alys Beach wedding with under 100 guests. We got a chance to debut our new plush, vinyl all-white DJ Facade. This couldn’t have been more perfect to complement the all-white décor that is infamous in Alys Beach.

The heat was out in spades and its ugly second cousin, humidity was presenting itself to be a formidable foe for the hairdos of the day. The sky was the clearest of blue and cloudless, making for a rain-less wedding, which was imperative considering the ceremony /reception area was outdoors with no tent. After a perfect ceremony, we seamlessly moved into an upbeat cocktail that set the tone for the rest of the evening. Great music paired with our romantic café style lights courtesy of B-Boy Rentals and Event Design was the perfect kick off to an intimate reception.

Reception Formality Music

  • Grand Entrance: (Bridal Party) “Everything” by Michael Bublé
  • Grand Entrance: (Bride and Groom) “Here Comes The Sun” by The Beatles
  • First Dance: “H.O.L.Y” by Florida Georgia Line
  • Cake Cut: “Stuck Like Glue” by Sugarland
  • Last Song: “Cake By The Ocean” by DNCE

A Destin Emerald Grande Wedding with Erica and Richard

Destin’s Emerald Grande…a great venue for a wedding.

I had been looking forward to Erica and Rich’s Destin Emerald Grande wedding for a long time, and needless to say I was NOT disappointed! From the moment their guests entered the reception ballroom, they were singing and dancing to the music. And speaking of the ballroom, it was decorated gorgeously, according to Rich and Erica’s vision. Partnering with our rental company for up lighting, we were awash in a very gorgeous shade of purple.

Erica’s family requested Chaldean music, a kind of ethnic folk music with Arabic decent, which was a first for me. I had a blast mixing it in with more contemporary dance music. To top it off, Rich & Erica got one of our party packs which consisted of glow wands, beads, and glow glasses for their guests to play with on the dance floor! I was exhausted in the best way possible after all was said and done.

Courtney and Chris |Sandestin Bayview Room

Sandestin Bayview Room: What an Awesome Venue!

I refer to it as one of our second homes – the Sandestin Bayview Room and Terrace is one of the most modular wedding venues on the Emerald Coast and we seem to have an event here just about every weekend. The flexibility that the space offers came in handy this weekend. If you haven’t checked out our venue tours at this property, it may be worth a look. We have Part 1 and Part 2. Hurricane Hermine was looming but never seriously threatened our event. The humidity, however, was intense and with rain slated for later in the evening, Courtney made the final call to move the reception indoors. We still had the ceremony outside and the cocktails were an indoor/outdoor combo. In the Bayview room, we had the entire room set for dancing. The dinner was held in the lobby entry way which worked perfectly for the guest count on hand..

Destination Weddings in Sandestin Florida. What more could a Wedding DJ want?

This crowd may qualify as one of my best of the year. They were ready to dance and had the entire room (minus the cupcakes) allotted for just that. With zero formalities after dinner (no cake cut, bouquet or garter), we got into the dancing very quickly. Being from Kentucky and a large contingent from St. Louis, Courtney and Chris brought two great destination crowds together. Folks from those parts of the country love to have a good time and are really nice people to boot. 90s and 2000s pop, hip hop and R&B went over really well and, of course, with so many being from St. Louis, there were more than a few Nelly tracks played. I even get a chance to show them The Wobble.

The floor was so packed that we went an extra 30 minutes of overtime. Best wishes to Courtney and Chris! Thanks for including us.

Father/Daughter Dance: “Wild Horses” by The Rolling Stones
Mother/Son Dance: “Don’t Blink” by Kenny Chesney

Danny and Jennifer’s Rustic Sandestin Wedding

This past Saturday’s Sandestin wedding was pretty amazing. When we have the entire B-Boy Productions team in place for the majority of the services, the events just seem to go flawless. This wedding was no exception.

Sandestin Wedding

Sandestin Wedding on the Elation Lawn

It had been a while since I personally had done a wedding on these particular properties. The ceremony took place on the Elation Lawn. It is so private and the lawn is very well manicured. When you have a stunning couple with a gorgeous background, it makes for a perfect wedding combination. The bride, Jennifer, wanted a rustic look so our team brought it some fantastic decor pieces, including the barn doors, floral pots, etc.

Bridal Party Processional: “A Thousand Years” by The Piano Guys
Bride Processional: “Cant Help Falling In Love” by The Piano Guys
Recessional: “Pompei” (DJ Brian B Edit) – Bastille

The reception space (Azaela Ballroom) is upstairs and the best part, the A/C was working flawlessly! The humidity outside was on another level! This particular ballroom is perfect for the 150 or so attendance range which is what we had on hand. We not only had the decor/uplighting around the room but we brought in one of our signature DJ tables, as well as our intelligent lighting on truss sticks with a lighting designer/operator. This type of lighting allows us to spotlight the grand entrance, dances, and toasts as well as color washes during dinner and accentuate the dance floor during the dance sets.

We lined all the guests up to make a “human catwalk” for our bridal party entrance and that set the party tone right away.
