Meet DJ Josh Bausch | The DJ With The Golden Voice

DJ Josh Bausch: One Of The Good Guys

Fortunately for us, both DJ Josh Bausch and B-Boy Productions’ worlds collided and the match couldn’t have been better. The opportunity to find someone who not only has the ideal DNA of your company but also the skills to compliment it is a rarity, especially in the Wedding DJ industry. Let’s put aside his DJ skills for a moment. Josh is just a fantastic person. If you are lucky enough to have him as your DJ/MC, you’ve won the lottery. Josh has an innate caring nature that is evident from miles away. He doesn’t do things to stroke his own ego. There is no side agenda. Josh understands the gravity of the events he’s a part of and he approaches them as such. Nobody is more engaged and selfless in their preparation for each single event than Josh. Not only does that set up each event for success but it speaks volumes about his character in general.

As you will instantly tell when you watch and listen to his video bio,  DJ Josh Bausch has the golden voice that every DJ/MC would die to have. It is just God-given. That was an added bonus for us when Josh interviewed with our company. Usually, we don’t hire DJs or MCs with previous experience as we like to train from the ground up. Even if DJs have had years of experience, we still put them through our training program. Josh was willing to go through it with us and our company couldn’t have been better served to add such a great individual to our team. If we could clone Josh, we’d definitely consider it.

In the 3rd installment of our “Meet Your DJ” series, we hope you enjoy getting to know Josh’s humble DJ beginnings and learning a few unique facts about him.

In 2017, we are aggressively booking him at new venues in Navarre, Pensacola Beach to the West and WaterColor, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, Carrilon Beach, and Panama City Beach to the East. Best Wedding Venues in Fort Walton Beach | 2015 Recommendations

In the final installment of our 2015 picks for top destination wedding venues in the Panhandle of Florida, we’re going to show you the Best Wedding Venues in Fort Walton Beach.  There has been a resurgence of weddings in this area over the past year thanks in part to some new development.  We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working these particular venues and think you be pleased to  have any of these are your wedding day venue!

Watervue at Brooks Street – Destin, FL
This is a recently renovated property under new ownership/management.  The venue is extremely spacious (over 5,000 square feet and a guest capacity of up to 300).  Mary is a delight to work with.  She is extremely personable and looks to make each event stand out.  With both indoor and outdoor options as well as the ability to bring in your own vendors, this is a venue that should definitely be considered.  They have a permanent dance floor installed as well as an elevated stage for the entertainment but what I think is their best feature is the wrap-around outside deck that circles around the ballroom with a waterfront view.  Plenty of on-site parking as well.

Holiday Inn Resort – Fort Walton Beach, FL

This new property officially opened its doors in 2014.  Kevin (the venue manager) has some amazing group rate specials for wedding parties. While this is a smaller property, the open lobby floor plan, pool, and beach access makes it a perfect place to have your guests stay for your wedding celebration.  Their private beach access works well for ceremonies and they have a few indoor ballroom options for receptions.   What we like about this resort is that because of its size, they can’t have too many events happening at one time.  This means dedicated attention to you and your event.  In a day and age where venues want to flip ballrooms as many times as possible in a day, this resort has taken a quality over quantity approach which you will really appreciate!

Southern Bay Manor – Fort Walton Beach, FL

Tucked off of Highway 98 in downtown Fort Walton Beach, this venue is pretty amazing.  It’s located along the Santa Rosa Sound and the lush green lawns and beautiful trees give off a feeling of serenity.  Capacity is 500 people.  The set-up configurations are truly limited only to your imagination.  One of the best things about this venue is the fact that you can utilize the private boat/boat captain for some amazing sunset photos of the couple of honor.  Amber (the venue manager) has years of experience (though she looks like she’s 25!) so you’ll be well taken care of.  If you’re looking for a non-traditional wedding venue, check it out!

Compass Rose – Valparaiso, FL

While not technically in Fort Walton, this is literally minutes away and we had to mention this venue!  They recently converted from a restaurant to strictly a private event venue. Not only is the food top-notch, but they have 3 spaces for you to have your function.  The have an outside patio that seats up to 100 people and is partially covered with a fantastic waterfront view of Tom’s Bayou.  Inside, you have two options.  If your guest count is 100 or less, we’d recommend the Banquet Room. It’s updated wood floors give it a real modern touch.  If you have between 100-150, then you’ll want to utilize the dining room.  It’s very spacious and has some window views out to the Bayou.  If you really want to get a feel for each room, go to their website and utilize the 360 degree view function of each space.

Wedding Entertainment with DJ Charles: The Blacharski Wedding at Eglin: – March 29, 2014

The Spring wedding season kicked off for me a little sooner than expected as this event was added to my calendar 2 weeks before this wedding!  Surprises like this are exactly why I love being in the wedding entertainment business! As the Emcee assigned to the event, I got my first impression of our groom, Tony Blacharski, during our planning appointment. He was very laid back and was looking for a relaxed vibe the day of the event. That said, he didn’t want things too loose as he wanted everything to be perfect for his bride, Elaine Cherry, on their special day. Both the wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Officer’s Club Bayview Club on Eglin Air Force Base.

Working with us this day was Kim from Coastal Moments Photography. This was my first time working alongside her on an event and she was every bit as professional as everyone raved about! I hope to work with her again.

We started the event by providing Ceremony Sound inside the facility.  The groom and bride were both smitten with one another as our officiant, Eric Partin, presided over the ceremony.  They picked some instrumental acoustic guitar selections for the processional and the orchestral version of “Canon In D” as she made her way down the aisle.

For the cocktail hour, they had pre-selected an old school jazz vibe. Songs from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, etc. filled the air as my partner on the event, DJ Dan, mixed the tunes. After cocktail hour concluded, we went straight into the meal. We played a variety of great music.

Following dinner, we went into the cake cut and toasts so we could have a ton of time for open dancing. Tony and Elaine opened the dance floor by having their first dance to the tune of “At Last” by Etta James.  That song is a classic!

DJ Dan then turned it up a notch as we invited everyone to the dance floor for open dancing.

For the last song of the night, DJ Dan played a Muppets song called “Life’s A Happy Song” which was specifically requested by Tony. I had my doubts with the selection because songs by the Muppets aren’t usually what we in the wedding entertainment business have in our regular playlists… much less use to pack a dance floor. It was obvious that the song had special meaning because as soon as it started playing, it brought the biggest smile to Elaine’s face as well as filled the dance floor. The ending of this reception was definitely one of the most movie-like endings I’ve ever been a part of.

This intimate wedding really personified what most people dream of – elegant, great music, lots of dancing and love permeating throughout the day.  Thanks for allowing DJ Dan and myself to share the day with you.  Best of luck to both of you!
