Meet DJ Josh Bausch | The DJ With The Golden Voice

DJ Josh Bausch: One Of The Good Guys

Fortunately for us, both DJ Josh Bausch and B-Boy Productions’ worlds collided and the match couldn’t have been better. The opportunity to find someone who not only has the ideal DNA of your company but also the skills to compliment it is a rarity, especially in the Wedding DJ industry. Let’s put aside his DJ skills for a moment. Josh is just a fantastic person. If you are lucky enough to have him as your DJ/MC, you’ve won the lottery. Josh has an innate caring nature that is evident from miles away. He doesn’t do things to stroke his own ego. There is no side agenda. Josh understands the gravity of the events he’s a part of and he approaches them as such. Nobody is more engaged and selfless in their preparation for each single event than Josh. Not only does that set up each event for success but it speaks volumes about his character in general.

As you will instantly tell when you watch and listen to his video bio,  DJ Josh Bausch has the golden voice that every DJ/MC would die to have. It is just God-given. That was an added bonus for us when Josh interviewed with our company. Usually, we don’t hire DJs or MCs with previous experience as we like to train from the ground up. Even if DJs have had years of experience, we still put them through our training program. Josh was willing to go through it with us and our company couldn’t have been better served to add such a great individual to our team. If we could clone Josh, we’d definitely consider it.

In the 3rd installment of our “Meet Your DJ” series, we hope you enjoy getting to know Josh’s humble DJ beginnings and learning a few unique facts about him.

Being a Fort Walton Beach local, we book DJ Josh Bausch there as well as in Destin and Sandestin for most of his events. In 2017, we are aggressively booking him at new venues in Navarre, Pensacola Beach to the West and WaterColor, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, Carrilon Beach, and Panama City Beach to the East. Danny and Jennifer’s Rustic Sandestin Wedding

This past Saturday’s Sandestin wedding was pretty amazing. When we have the entire B-Boy Productions team in place for the majority of the services, the events just seem to go flawless. This wedding was no exception.

Sandestin Wedding on the Elation Lawn

It had been a while since I personally had done a wedding on these particular properties. The ceremony took place on the Elation Lawn. It is so private and the lawn is very well manicured. When you have a stunning couple with a gorgeous background, it makes for a perfect wedding combination. The bride, Jennifer, wanted a rustic look so our team brought it some fantastic decor pieces, including the barn doors, floral pots, etc.

Recessional: “Pompei” (DJ Brian B Edit) – Bastille

The reception space (Azaela Ballroom) is upstairs and the best part, the A/C was working flawlessly! The humidity outside was on another level! This particular ballroom is perfect for the 150 or so attendance range which is what we had on hand. We not only had the decor/uplighting around the room but we brought in one of our signature DJ tables, as well as our intelligent lighting on truss sticks with a lighting designer/operator. This type of lighting allows us to spotlight the grand entrance, dances, and toasts as well as color washes during dinner and accentuate the dance floor during the dance sets.

We lined all the guests up to make a “human catwalk” for our bridal party entrance and that set the party tone right away.

B-Boy Productions Private Wedding Showcase in Sandestin, January 24th

Nowadays, anyone or any company can tout and market themselves as the best.  Especially in the wedding industry.

You can create a website in a matter of minutes with “borrowed” Google images and SEO-friendly keywords.  Social Media can make you look amazing by buying “likes” or “friends”.  The simplicity of consumer video editing programs allows you to make a highlight reel and give the perception you were the entertainer of the year at every show.  Even industry websites like WeddingWire and The Knot hand out annual  awards like they are candy (yes, we, along with almost every wedding company in our area, won the Couple’s Choice Awards).   But as the saying goes, the proof is in the pudding.  As consumers, we all want to see and judge for ourselves whether a company can back up their claim.

Well, here’s your chance to see B-Boy Productions in all its glory. We’re putting it all out there at on our first ever Private Wedding Showcase in Sandestin Saturday, January 24th at Sandestin Beach & Golf Resort’s Bayview Room & Terrace from 10:30AM – 12:30PM.  How does our private showcase differ from your traditional bridal show you ask?  Great question.

We won’t just have pamphlets or marketing materials on display; we take you through an actual wedding – from the beginning of the ceremony all the way to the grand exit.  As an all-inclusive wedding brand, we will have not only all of our famous beat-mixing DJs and wedding Emcees showcasing their skills, but our live musicians, officiants, photo booths, photographers, videographers, day of planners, and rental items will be available for you to see in action as if you were guests that day at a wedding.  Throughout the showcase, bottomless mimosas and hors d’oeuvres will be served on us.

Afterwards, you can talk to our entertainers and staff about your wedding specifically; ask questions, share your vision for your day, etc.  We’ll be glad to give you all the ideas we have to make your wedding stand out.  By the time you leave, you can have your wedding services all booked and head to the beach for some R&R.  So what’s the catch you ask?  Only that you RSVP so we can reserve a spot for you as seating is limited.   That’s it.  So whether you need one service, some services, or ALL services, come hang and party with us for two hours.  You’ll get some tremendous show specials just for showing up and treated like the VIPs you are.

Venue Spotlight: Bayview Room at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort – Sandestin, FL

Every now and then, we like to take a moment and put the focus on a particular venue. This week we wanted to introduce you to the Bayview Room at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Sandestin, FL. It’s located near the Linkside Conference Center within the Resort.

Bayview Room at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort Wedding DJ Sunset

One of the first things about the Bayview Room that you will appreciate is the privacy aspect. It’s not located in the touristy Baytowne section of the resort. The Linkside section is very secluded. It will feel like you have the whole place to yourself which is nice when having a private wedding or corporate function.

It’s really important that when you and your guests enter the security gate at the resort that you ask them to direct you to the Linkside Conference Center rather than saying the Bayview Room. The security guards sometimes get that confused and will send you around to Baytowne and you’ll have a 10-15 minute detour until you get yourself back to where you need to be.

The room is perfect for a guest count of 60-75 people. You could technically squeeze in around 100 if it was dinning only and you didn’t use a dance floor.

To us, the biggest selling point is the ability to have the outside cocktail hour and ceremony location on the terrace adjacent to the reception room. The view of the Choctawhatchee bay is quite serene and peaceful. This is ideal for those that want a beautiful view but not necessarily be at the beach or in sand.  Speaking of the outside terrace, there is power available if you wanted to hire a musician to play for the wedding ceremony and/or cocktail hour.  Additionally, it’s partially covered so a cocktail hour could still occur even if there is rain present.  Speaking of rain, they have plenty of “plan B” rain options should it happen.  A lot of venue spaces can’t offer that!

Another advantage to booking the Bayview Room is you have access Sandestin Conference Services. They can do an excellent job of uplighting the room with any color to match the décor you’ve chosen for your event and they can even do a customized gobo/monogram light on the dance floor in addition to providing many other a/v services.

We put together a tour of the venue on video. With it being a smaller room, there aren’t that many configurations that can be done so this a great sampling to observe on a more visual level. It’s one of our favorite event venue spaces so we hope you’ll consider it for your event!
